I’ve always bought my glasses from the eye doctor’s office, but it feels like I’m paying a lot. I’m curious if buying glasses online is actually cheaper in the long run. Has anyone here made the switch and noticed big savings? I’d like to know if the quality is comparable and if the lower prices online are worth it.

I got my last pair of glasses online from Zenni for only $6.99 total, including the cheapest lenses. My wife also got a pair to get free shipping over $25. Even though this was a super low price, it shows that online can be much cheaper than the hundreds of dollars I’ve seen in stores.

Over the years, I’ve bought about 6 pairs of glasses from Zenni, and they usually cost me around $7 per pair, depending on the style and any extra features I choose. If I had bought all those pairs in a regular store, I’m pretty sure I would have spent hundreds of dollars each time, easily adding up to thousands in savings over the years.

I’ve been using Zenni for over 10 years and I believe I’ve saved thousands of dollars compared to buying from traditional stores. It’s unbelievable to me how much lower the prices are online.

For my regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses, both with my distance prescription, plus backup pairs of both, I spent around $120 total ordering from Zenni. I remember paying way more than that for just one pair at the eye doctor last time.
