Hey everyone, my eye doctor is retiring, and I’m considering getting my next eye exam at Costco, where I already buy my glasses. I’m curious to hear about your personal experiences with the optometrists at Costco. Were you happy with the service? What about the cost compared to other places? Any insights would be greatly appreciated as I make this decision!

I’ve been going to the same optometrist at my Costco for 22 years, and I’ve always been happy with the care I receive.

I’ve used the optometrist at my Costco, and it was fine for an entry-level exam and refraction. However, as I got older, they noticed my eye pressure was going up and suggested I see an ophthalmologist, which I do now.

I exclusively use the optometrist at my Costco, and I don’t even carry vision insurance anymore because it’s so cheap. I’ve been doing this for about 6-7 years and have never had any issues.

I had an eye exam at my Costco in Southern California for $89. In Japan, where I used to live, eye exams are generally free at glasses stores, and frames with transition lenses only cost me around $100.
