I’m in Illinois and pay around $1200 per year, which is $100 per month, for two drivers on a 2012 and a 2016 Subaru with coverage around 100/300/100, plus comprehensive and new car replacement. Even with two minor not-at-fault accidents in the last 10 years, my rates haven’t really changed.

As someone who worked in collision repair in Northern Virginia for almost 20 years, I advise staying away from State Farm, Allstate, and Liberty Mutual because they often “don’t pay for that” when it comes to manufacturer-required repairs in a collision, potentially leaving you with extra costs above your deductible. Your location in Virginia might make exploring other carriers a priority.
